At swiss Hardwoods, we use Rubio Monocoat® Fire Retardant Oil as our surface coating. Plant-based with no chemicals and is 100% VOC free, safe to use and great for the environment. With oiled floors you can feel the grain of the wood, sensual and karmic to the soul as opposed to the lacquered floors that are built up by layers of acrylic, essentially creating a barrier between you and your flooring.
